I’m Dr Jad Ateia, a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) and an urgent care doctor. I’ve been practising medicine since 2010 and enjoy the variety of primary care, with special interests in minor surgery, men’s health, and musculoskeletal conditions and procedures.

I take a friendly, practical approach to care, listening carefully and working with you to support your health and wellbeing. Alongside English, I speak Arabic and a little Spanish.

Outside work, I enjoy swimming, hiking, kayaking, and keeping active. I’m also interested in history, the arts, and technology, and I’m always keen to learn something new and find ways to improve my practice.
