Men’s Health Week runs from 10-16 June and is a week to highlight and promote the importance of men’s heath in New Zealand. The aim of the week is to get men more aware of their own health and to begin taking small steps to improve their wellbeing.

- Diabetes – 8% of men in New Zealand have diabetes, but that number jumps to one in four (25%) when you look at prediabetes. This is the stage where blood sugars are elevated, but not yet high enough to be classified as type 2 diabetes
- Heart Health and Strokes
- Excess blood pressure – being overweight or obese considerably elevates the chance of heart conditions, high blood pressure and strokes
- Mental Health.
