Immigration medical
We offer a dedicated immigration medical clinic every Tuesday and Friday, where our team provides comprehensive, end-to-end care for individuals applying to Immigration New Zealand for a visa. We guide patients through every step, including document checks, blood tests, and full physical exams by our GP and nurses, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for patients.

What happens during an immigration medical
Your immigration medical examination generally includes:
Medical history and physical examination
- Measurement of height, weight, and vital signs
- Review of general health and medical history.
Laboratory tests
- Urine and blood tests to screen for conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, and other relevant health concerns.
Chest x-ray
- Usually required for applicants aged 11 years and over to check for tuberculosis and other lung conditions.
Additional tests may be requested depending on your age, medical history, or visa requirements.
How your medical results are submitted
If your medical is completed by a panel physician, your results will be:
- Submitted directly to Immigration New Zealand via the eMedical system, and
- You will receive an NZ Immigration health case/reference number to include in your visa application.
If your medical is completed outside the eMedical system, paper medical certificates must be sent directly to Immigration New Zealand within the required timeframe.
