About our practice

Five general practitioners were the driving force behind the development of Health New Lynn which opened its doors at Totara Health Services in April 2013.

They wanted to establish a strong community-based health care centre where their patients could receive coordinated health services in a community setting beyond that which each individual practice could provide.

Health New Lynn was purchased by ProCare in March 2022. The medical centre is part of ProCare’s Elevate group of medical centres.​

At Health New Lynn, we provide ongoing, personalised care. Our GPs work closely with a dedicated team to coordinate your care, ensuring it is safe, consistent, and focused on your long-term health.

Our vision

To provide quality healthcare that is accessible to the people of New Lynn and surrounding areas.

We will focus on continuously improving the patient experience, actively consulting with the people who use our centre, and proactively identifying new services which will benefit our community and patients.

To provide a supportive environment for general practitioners, nurses and other allied health providers to provide community health services.

To provide teaching and training for community health professionals to enhance skills and practice in community health provision.

To provide a facility and service delivery model which will allow and encourage innovative community health programmes to be trialled and evaluated.
