May Health & Wellness update

Updates

Welcome to the May Health & Wellness update. As we reach a change in seasons with the colder weather arriving, now is a great time to check in and make sure you’ve got the prescriptions and appointments that you need.

To keep up with the latest, be sure to follow us on Facebook.

Thank you and all the best

A big thank you to Dr Mark Chen, Dr Hannah Hurst, and Dr Alexandra Lafaele for the amazing work they have contributed to Health New Lynn over the years – we wish them all well as they embark on their next endeavours.

We are looking forward to welcoming some new GPs to the team soon and we will be sure to introduce them to you once they are on board.

If you can’t find your regular doctor when you book an appointment, feel free to either select a new GP or give us a call and we’ll connect you with one of the team.

Winter advice for patients

The winter season is quickly approaching, and with it, the usual winter illnesses. Please remember:

– Arrange repeat prescriptions in a timely fashion – if you do not need to be seen by your GP for repeats then please request a repeat prescription through the portal or reception, and let us know which pharmacy you want your prescription sent to. Please also refer to our website for updated processing times
– If your GP wants tests done, or if a blood pressure check is needed, you will be advised of this either via text message or through your portal messages
– For your children – please make sure you have your paracetamol prescriptions sorted as early as possible.

Acute Care hours have changed

Our Acute Care hours have changed, and we are now open 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am – 2pm on weekends. This will allow us to better focus on our enrolled patients and make sure that you continue to receive the care you need.

Please rest assured that our general clinic hours remain as they are.

Please note that the Acute Care clinic will be closed on Sunday 26 May.

A reminder that this service is for urgent/acute matters only, and patients can only be seen for one condition at a time. If necessary, we will ask you to book in with a GP at a later date.

Patient Portal

You will have seen that we are now operating on our new patient portal, MyIndici. A reminder that you can now book appointments, check test results, order repeat prescriptions, view and pay your latest accounts, and message GPs via MyIndici.

If you are yet to register for the portal, click here. Please note, if you don’t know your NHI number then simply complete the rest of the registration form. Our reception team can help you find your NHI number should you need it.

Once you have registered your account, you can log in here.

The GP Messaging functionality has now been turned on and is available for all doctors. A reminder that this does not replace visits to the doctor, and if your request is complex you may be asked to book an appointment.

Should you have any questions, please speak to our friendly reception team by calling us on 09 827 8888, or email us at welcome@healthnewlynn.co.nz.

Account Payments

We are changing the way we deal with our finances. We are now taking prepayments for all services, and thank you for your cooperation.

We will be sending out monthly statements for all outstanding accounts. You can pay via online banking, in person at reception, or over the phone using a credit or Visa Debit card. If you feel your statement is incorrect or would like to query your account, please email finance@healthnewlynn.co.nz.

We understand times are tough and if you are finding it hard to pay for your consultation/services, you can set up an automatic payment using your NHI as a reference and our account details below:
